To study 3 A Levels youll need at least 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C) including GCSE English at grade 4 (C) or above and Maths at grade 5 (C) or above. To study 4 A Levels youll need at least 6 GCSEs at grades 9-6 (A*-C) including GCSE English at grade 4 (C) or above and Maths at grade 5 (C) or above. One of your GCSEs must be a Grade 6 (B) or above in GCSE Chemistry or GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy, or a 5 in Chemistry if you have a 6 in GCSE Biology.
This course will give you a great theoretical base, but will also cover the practical application of chemistry in our everyday lives. Topics include: General chemistry; Inorganic chemistry; Organic chemistry; Physical chemistry; Analytical chemistry; and many more advanced topics.

Three written papers of two hours duration
