Chemistry is the study of the composition, structure, properties and change of the matter which makes up our world. You will study the world right down to its molecular and atomic structure, discovering more about the elements and compounds which surround us in our daily lives.

To study 3 A Levels youll need at least 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C) including GCSE English at grade 4 (C) or above and Maths at grade 5 (C) or above. To study 4 A Levels youll need at least 6 GCSEs at grades 9-6 (A*-C) including GCSE English at grade 4 (C) or above and Maths at grade 5 (C) or above. One of your GCSEs must be a Grade 6 (B) or above in GCSE Chemistry or GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy, or a 5 in Chemistry if you have a 6 in GCSE Biology.

Three written papers of two hours duration
